On Wednesday night it’s the big Free State derby between Bloemfontein Celtic and Free State Stars in the Premier Soccer League.

Both teams are fighting for survival in the league this season.

Celtic are 12th in the standings on 27 points, while Ea Lla Koto are a further point back in 13th and both teams can still  be relegated.

The Celtic coach, Lehlohonolo Seema, told OFM Sport that Wednesday night’s derby is as big as it gets.

“Worldwide any derby is huge and this one, as I’ve said, has got salt, it’s got pepper, it’s got sugar and anything else that will spice it up to make it hot.

“I’m just urging the supporters to come and enjoy good football.

“One thing is for sure and that is that we’re not going to get too tense and just enjoy the football”.

The Free State Stars coach, Serame Letsoaka, said their good record of late against Phunya Sele Sele will count in their favour.

“It’s just like when we head into a match against Wits University, for three years they haven’t been able to beat us at Goble Park. We have that history with them.

“We’re going into this game having won four and drawn one of our last five meetings.

“We’re going to make sure that we continue the record that exists between us and them”.

Wednesday night’s big derby at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium kicks off at 19:30.
