Bloemfontein Celtic will be desperate to return to winning ways when they face SuperSport United on Sunday in the Nedbank Cup round of 32.

On Saturday, SuperSport came from behind to beat Celtic 4-2 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in the PSL.

Celtic have not won a game in their last five outings, with their last win being against Golden Arrows a month ago.

The Celtic coach, Veselin Jelušic, says that they have to eradicate mistakes in the defence.

"We committed some very naïve individual errors in the defence and that led to us losing the game.

"In some parts of the game we controlled the ball quite well and we controlled the game, but ultimately some serious mistakes in the defence cost us the game."

The Matsatsantsa A Pitori coach, Eric Tinkler, in his turn felt that the two Celtic goals were gifted to Phunya Sele Sele by his team.

"We needed to show certain aspects of our game that has been missing, certain aspects of our personalities, with the commitment they showed this. I think that we would not have deserved to have lost this game if I look at how we played and the opportunities that we created. There were silly makes made by us, because we gifted them both goals, but having said that, they also did respond well."

The previous time these two sides met in a cup game, Celtic beat SuperSport 5-4 on penalties after the game ended 2-2 following added extra time. Phunya Sele Sele will take a lot of confidence out of this, despite not having won a match in a month.

Sunday's knockout game at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium kicks off at 15:30. On Saturday evening Free State Stars face the Super Eagles at Goble Park.
