Mere days before their all-important Nedbank Cup Final against Maritzburg United, Free State Stars are sweating over the availability of key defender Patrick Phungwayo.
Phungwayo was said to have limped off the training field earlier this week and has since been receiving around the clock medical attention in hopes to have him fit and ready for the trip to Cape Town.
The Ea La Koto talisman has been an integral part of the team's PSL season having played in all 30 of the Bethlehem-based team's matches, making his presence in the team for the final that much more important.
He will be in a race against time to pass a fitness test for Saturday evening's Nedbank Cup final against the Team of Choice at the Cape Town Stadium with kick-off scheduled for 19:00.
