Bloemfontein Celtic could very well be under new ownership following an announcement yesterday that financial burdens are proving heavier than expected for club boss Max Tshabalala.

According to Tshabalala the club had been experiencing cash flow problems over the last season and that considering, new ownership is his only alternative.

Tshabalala also confirmed that there is already an offer on the table but that the Siwelele faithful should not be concerned, the new owners will continue to run the club as it is.

"I can't be stubborn and say no if there is an offer, I will take it with a very heavy heart to make sure Celtic is in good hands."

"It doesn't help me that I keep the team when I'm struggling financially. I'm not going to deny that it is difficult now. Running the club is affecting my company income," he said in an interview with the Sunday Times.

Although there seems to be plenty of interest from buyers wanting to acquire the club, Tshabalala did not write off the possibility of holding on to the history-rich club, provided other financial alleviation can be provided.
