Amazulu handed hefty fine by PSL─── ADRIAN BOTHA 09:21 Thu, 13 Sep 2018
The Premier Soccer League's disciplinary Committee has made their voice of zero tolerance to fan violence heard yet again as they found AmaZulu guilty of fan misbehavior and fined the club R640 000.
Yesterday’s ruling by the PSL comes mere days after Kaizer Chiefs were also fined for the same offence that will now cost them 3 matches to be played behind closed doors.
Amazulu’s punishment of a R640 000 fine sprouts from their Premiership fixture against Mamelodi Sundowns on the 2nd of March at King Zwelithini Stadium when fans begun throwing objects onto the field.
Much like Chiefs, a portion of Usuthu's fine has been suspended for 24 months provided they are not found guilty of similar offences.
