The South African men's relay teams will have to make do without Wayde van Niekerk during the 2021 World Relay Championships in Poland.
The 400m world record holder and Olympic champion from Bloemfontein will not be competing next week.
South Africa will be sending three men's teams to Chorzów.
South Africa will be sending a 4 x 400m teams as well as a men's 4 x 100m and mixed 4 x 100m team.
The World Champs will be staged on 1 and 2 May.
