Bafana assistant Janevski tests positive─── MORGAN PIEK 09:00 Thu, 10 Jun 2021
The national football team, Bafana Bafana, have been dealt another blow ahead of Thursday’s planned international friendly against Uganda in Soweto.
During the second round of Covid-19 testing, the stand-in coach, Cedomir Janevski, returned a positive result.
Earlier in the week the strikers Percy Tau and Teboho Mokoena tested positive, while Sipho Mbule was forced into isolation.
‘’We continue to check for clinical symptoms and encourage the staff to wear masks without failure, practice social distance and everyone is accommodated separately,’’ said team doctor, Dr Tshepo Molobi.
At this stage the match is still on, however, it may be cancelled.
The match at the Orlando Stadium kicks off at 18:00.
