The Tafel Lager Griquas are optimistic about their Currie Cup campaign which will get underway on Saturday when they host the Sharks in Kimberley.
Last season the Peacock Blues were the wooden-spooners in the competition after failing to secure a single win from their 12 games which includes the Super Rugby Unlocked series.
The captain of the Griquas, Ruan Steenkamp, told OFM Sport that they excited.
“The boys are really excited for the Currie Cup to start. It was a long preseason, but it’s going to be great having the Sharks here in Kimberley on Saturday.
“We are excited and up for the challenge I believe that it will be a good season lying ahead.”
Saturday’s game at Tafel Lager Park kicks off at 13:30.
