Lloyd Harris - ATP

South Africa’s Lloyd Harris has officially been installed as the world number 31 on the official ATP rankings for men’s singles tennis.

His latest climb has seen him jump 15 places to move well into the top 50.

It’s a career-high for the 24-year-old who reached the quarter-finals of the US Open for the first time last week.

A win in the quarter-finals of the Grand Slam against the Olympic champion, Alexander Zverev, would have seen Harris climb to 24th in the world.

Harris will be in action for South Africa later in the week against Venezuela in the Davis Cup World Group II tie at the West Side Tennis Club in New York.

Meanwhile, the two-time Grand Slam finalist, Kevin Anderson, has also made a significant move to 68th in the world. Anderson has a career highest ranking of 5th in the world back in 2017.
