The world champions lost 28-26 to Australia in Gold Coast on Sunday and another defeat tomorrow can see them lose their number one ranking in the world to the All Blacks.

The Springboks have been the number one team since beating England 32-12 in the World Cup final on 2 November 2019.

The Springbok captain, Siya Kolisi, said their focus is on a win.

“Winning is what we are clear about. That is the only way we're going to retain the number one spot.

“So, we want to win this weekend. But I didn't know that we could lose the number one spot.

“But we won't focus on that, we want to win this weekend and that it the most important thing.

“This will be for us to get back into the competition and having a chance to win it.”

Tomorrow’s Test at the Suncorp Stadium kicks off at 9:05.
