The Orlando Pirates midfielder, Ben Motshwari, has been suspended indefinitely by the club.
This comes as the 30-year-old was charged by the police this morning for an undisclosed offence.
The Buccaneers confirmed the news this morning via a brief statement and they also indicated that they will not be commenting on the matter any further.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm that it has suspended midfielder Ben Motshwari after being charged by police this morning.
“Mr Motshwari will remain suspended, pending an investigation.
“The matter is subject to a legal process and the Club is, therefore, unable to make further comment until that process is complete.”
Motshwari was in action for the Sea Robbers over the weekend when he came on as a substitution during their 3-1 win over Chippa United in Gqeberha.
