Harris to face local wild card in European Open 1st round─── MORGAN PIEK 14:00 Mon, 18 Oct 2021
The leading South African singles player, Lloyd Harris, will be in action again on Tueaday during the first round of the European Open in Antwerp, Belgium.
The world number 32 and seventh seed for the tournament, Harris, will be up against the local wild card entry from Belgium, Zizou Bergs, in this opening game.
The 24-year-old South African expects some exciting 1st round action during the ATP250 event.
“It's a very stacked ATP250 event over here. We have some top players and some very exciting first rounds.
“I'm playing to the local guy, Zizou, and I think that he has had an incredible season.
“I'm looking to that match up. There will definitely be some very interesting matches to watch out for and I'm really looking forward to the tournament.”
The winner of this game will go on to face the winner between Germany's Jan-Lennard Struff and Albert Ramos-Vinolas in the 2nd round.
