The North West Dragons are upbeat heading into their CSA T20 Knockout quarter-final against the Rocks in Kimberley on Wednesday afternoon.

On Tuesday, the Itec Knights and the Titans advanced to the semi-finals after eliminating Western Province and SWD in their respective quarter-finals.

The Dragons do have a tough task against the in-form team from Paarl, but they will take confidence from their recent 1 run win over the Eastern Storm at the Mangaung Oval.

The captain of the Dragons, Nicky van den Bergh, told OFM, a partner of North West Cricket, that they look forward to the challenge.

“We are playing against Paarl, who are a pretty good side. Having said that, I don't think there are going to be any easy games.

“We are still missing a few players due to injury, but the squad is coming along nicely.

“They showed a lot of promise in the group stage in Bloemfontein, so we are really looking forward to getting on the park on Wednesday and having a good crack at it.”

At 10:00 the Dolphins face the Warriors in the 3rd semi-final, and at 14:30 the Rocks take on the Dragons in the last semi. The winner of the match between the Dragons and Paarl will face the Knights in the semi-finals on Thursday.
