The North West Dragons will face the Itec Knights on Thursday afternoon in the semi-finals of the CSA T20 Knockout being played in Kimberley.

The Dragons made a massive statement by beating the loaded Rocks by 3 runs at the Diamond Oval in the fourth quarter-final.

The Dragons had a bat first in the Diamond City and were restricted to 156/8 in their alloted 20 overs with Eben Botha scoring 41 runs and Lesego Senokwane contributing with 40.

The former Knight, Ferisco Adams, was the pick of the bowlers for the team from Paarl with 2/26 three overs.

The Malan brothers, Janneman and Pieter, got the Rocks off to a solid start with the bat with a 108 run partnership for the first wicket.

Once the captain of the Rocks, Pieter, was removed for 46 runs, a flurry of quick wickets suddenly saw the match swing in favour of the Dragons.

The former Knights left-arm seamer, Duan Jansen, had to defend nine runs off the last over of the match to hand the team from Potchefstroom the unlikely win.

With 2/19 in four overs, Jansen was the pick of the Dragons bowlers.

Janneman Malan was the batter of the match with his unbeaten 74 runs.

The Dragons and the Knights will battle it out at 14:30 on Thursday afternoon in the second semi-final. At 10:00 on Thursday morning, the Titans and Dolphins will battle it out in the first semi-final.
