Most profitable actor for a Hollywood studio
According to Forbes, Jeremy Renner (USA) returned $93.80 (£73.04) for every $1 (£0.77) he was paid in the 12 months to 1 June 2017. During that period, he appeared in successful franchises such as Mission: Impossible and Marvel's Captain America franchise, as well as the sci-fi movie Arrival (USA, 2016), which grossed more than $203 million globally on a budget of $47 million.
In second place was British actress Emma Watson, who returned $70.70 (£55.05) for every $1 she was paid. She had starred in Disney's hugely successful live-action movie Beauty and the Beast (USA, 2017).
