Friday Braai Days kick off on 4 September. Because OFM can’t say no to a braai, we decided to go big and dedicate the first day of Heritage Month, 1 September, to a virtual marathon braai at OFM’s offices from 06:00 to 18:00.

To celebrate, OFM is running two competitions on the day, one for Central SA businesses and one for our loyal listeners!

Do you work for or own a business, and do you want to participate in the #OFMBraaiSaam Day? Then you’re invited to help us spread the braai ‘gees’ across Central South Africa. Braai along with us from your office and you could win an Outside Broadcast at your business!

Businesses can enter by sending a 30-second video clip of their business braai on 1 September, between 06:00 and 18:00, via Telegram, with the keyword ‘BraaiSaam’ to 084 222 9497 (data rates apply).

The OFM team will randomly select a braai video from the day and the winning business will win an OFM Outdoor Broadcast (valid on a weekday, 09:00 to 12:00 or 12:00 to 15:00, and subject to availability between 1 October 2021 and 25 March 2022). That’s right – OFM might just visit your business next!

The OFM daytime shows will also participate in the awesome #OFMBraaiSaam Day! The presenter braai challenge will see each daytime show prepare and braai a dish. For example, from a breakfast ‘everything except the kitchen sink’ to a delicious dessert – they can throw anything on the braai as long as it’s edible and looks and tastes delicious!

• Good Morning Breakfast (06:00 – 09:00)
• Mid-Morning Magic (09:00 –12:00)
• At Lunch (12:00 – 15:00)
• The Joyride (15:00 – 18:00)
