Griekwastad murder trial: Judgement expected today

───   05:27 Thu, 27 Mar 2014

Kimberley - The Northern Cape High Court is expected to pass judgement on Thursday with a 17-year-old boy accused of killing the Steenkamp family on their farm.

The youth is accused of shooting dead farmer Deon Steenkamp, 44, his wife Christel, 43, and their daughter Marthella, 14, on April 6 2012 on their farm Naauwoek, near Griekwastad.

Prosecutor Hannes Cloete told the court on Tuesday that the boy attacked the Steenkamp family and nobody else.

He said the defence's submission of a possibility that there could have been another person on the murder scene was wrong.

Cloete argued there were no grounds for the criticism of the police investigation into the Steenkamp murders.

He told the court as prosecutor he could find no faults.

"The scene was recorded like few others."
