De Jager big blow for Cheetahs

Bloemfontein - The Toyota Cheetahs have been dealt a devastating blow ahead of their Super Rugby clash against the Stormers with the news that lock Lood de Jager will be side-lined for the next few weeks with a finger injury.
 
De Jager sustained the injury during the sides 19-8 loss to the Sharks in Durban over the weekend.
 
The magnitude of De Jagers departure from the field was immediately visible in sides physicality.
 
In the Stormers camp the side from Cape Town will be without the services of flyhalf Demetri Catrakilis duo to a broken nose.
 
Catraklis broke his nose when he slipped into a Derrick Minnie tackle during the sides 18-3 win over the Lions in Cape Town.
 
Wingers Cheslin Kolbe, Kobus van Wyk and hooker Scarra Ntubeni will undergo a fitness test today, ahead of the match-23 announcement.
 
Saturday’s match at the Free State Stadium kicks-off at 17:05.
