Proteas One-Day International captain, AB de Villiers has once again been nominated for South Africa’s Cricketer of the Year award.
De Villiers will compete against team-mates Hashim Amla, Dale Steyn, Morné Morkel and Faf du Plessis for the top honours at the annual Cricket South Africa Awards.
International T20 Cricketer of the Year nominees are David Wiese, Faf du Plessis and Morné van Wyk.
The ODI Cricketer of the Year award is a four horse race between Hashim Amla, Morné Morkel, AB de Villiers and Imran Tahir.
The Test Cricketer of the Year which is arguably the second biggest award, sees former Knights batsman Dean Elgar is inline along with Hashim Amla and Dale Steyn.
Elgar has also been nominated for the One-Day Cup Cricketer of the Season award.
The evening will form part of CSA Day, which will see a breakfast awards event in the morning, honouring those who excelled on the amateur front, as well as a golf day featuring key stakeholders, sponsors and Proteas players.
Cricket South Africa’s annual awards evening will take place on 3 June at Gallagher Estate in Johannesburg.
