FS MEC unexpectedly moved to Parliament─── CATHY DLODLO 16:11 Thu, 03 Sep 2015
Bloemfontein - Free State Agriculture MEC Mosebenzi Zwane has quietly been moved to parliament.
According to information received, Zwane was sworn in as a member of parliament this morning.
Zwane was re-appointed as the MEC for agriculture just three months ago. Before that he served as the MEC for small business development, tourism, and economic and environmental affairs.
No official announcement has been made about the move, while opposition parties have criticised the move. DA MPL Roy Jankielsohn says this is not good, since Zwane was appointed as the MEC for agriculture after this important post was vacant for months and he was initially involved in the controversial multi-million rand Vrede Dairy Project.
OFM News contacted Free State government spokesperson Mondli Mvambi, but no official confirmation was received.
