NW police officer shoots dead wife, commits suicide─── 05:44 Thu, 14 May 2015
Taung - A North West police officer allegedly shot his wife, also an SAPS member, before turning the gun on himself at their home in Taung yesterday.
Police spokesperson, Kealeboga Molale, said Constable Neo Patrick Galodikwe, of Pudumoe Police Station in Taung, allegedly shot his wife Constable Lillian Galodikwe several times with his official firearm. He then shot himself.
Molale says the couple's neighbour heard several shots at around 22:30. The following morning he went to investigate and noticed the door to the couple's house was open. When he went into the house and saw the couple's bodies on the floor of their living room.
The circumstances which led to the incident are unclear.
