The Dolphins claimed the bragging rights in the first game of the CSA T20 Challenge at the JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom on Monday.

The Dolphins beat their KZN neighbours, the Tuskers by 19-runs.

The Dolphins had a bat first and scored 151/7 in their 20 overs with Marques Ackerman scoring 54, while the former Knights seamer, Mbulelo Budaza, took 3/27 in his four overs.

Kagiso Rapulana scored 43 and Keith Dudgeon scored 35 as the Tuskers were restricted to 132/5 in their 20 overs.

In the second game of the double-header, the Titans were on 139/4 in 17.1 overs against Dragons when the heavens opened up and forced the game to be declared a no result.

The win sees the Dolphins remain in fourth on the log, but they have moved up to 19 points and six ahead of the fifth placed North West Dragons.

Sibonelo Makhanya scored 52-runs, while Rivaldo Moonsamy scored 33.

Migael Pretorius took 2/22 in his 3-overs, while Kerwin Mungroo and the captain Senuran Muthusamy each bagged one scalp.

The Dragons and Titans each earned two points from the game.

On Wednesday, Western Province will host the Lions at Newlands in Cape Town, while the Dragons are at home to the Tuskers in Potchefstroom. Both of these games will get underway at 18:00.
