Potchefstroom - The housemate of a well-known interpreter from the North West University (NWU), who was shot dead during a house robbery, is in a stable condition.
This is according to Mediclinic Potchefstroom spokesperson, Diana King.
Lieske Burger sustained head injuries and was admitted to hospital last night. Her friend, Maria Arangies, was shot dead during the incident at her house in Mooivallei Park between 21:00 and 22:00 last night.
North West police spokesperson, Kelebogile Moleko, has told OFM News the robbers shot Arangies outside her residence and Burger was assaulted inside the house.
The suspects fled the scene with jewellery, a television set, a computer and other valuables.
A massive manhunt has been launched for the five suspects.
