NW Exco happy with matric exam so far─── 12:50 Fri, 28 Oct 2016

The North West Executive Council has, at its monthly meeting which took place yesterday, appreciated that the matric examination written yesterday by the majority of the candidates went on smoothly without any incident.
A total of 35 937 candidates sat for the English paper 1 examination and the Exco appreciates the state of readiness outlined by the department of Education and Sport Development in the Province.
Exco has called on the 2016 class of grade 12 learners to do the province proud by ensuring that they write all the papers and that they focus on their exams.
Parents are being urged to afford learners time to focus on their examination at this crucial stage.
Exo further expressed confidence at the efforts invested by learners, teachers, parents and stakeholders in making preparations throughout the year for the final examination.
North West Premier, Supra Mahumapelo, urged grade 12 learners and those who already passed grade 12 to apply at the Kgetsi Ya Tsie Bursary and Skills Development Fund which closes on 31 October 2016.
The council will hold a press briefing next week to share some of the groundbreaking decisions taken by the Exco of Bokone Bophirima on Wednesday.
