NW Health Department to account for millions paid to Gupta-linked company─── KATLEHO MORAPELA 13:17 Thu, 15 Feb 2018
The NW Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Health calls on the Provincial Health Department to account over the alleged R30 million paid to a Gupta-linked company and another R180 million allegedly paid for a single mobile clinic in the past year.
The legislature’s communication services have confirmed the scheduled sitting expected to take place next week to discuss the matter.
This comes amidst court proceedings in Bloemfontein where members of the Gupta family, their business associates, and government officials are facing charges of fraud in connection with the #VredeDairy project.
According to the #GuptaLeaks over R220 million earmarked for the #VredeDairy project was looted from the Free State Government and paid to the controversial family’s linked companies.
