“I really think it is amazing to have six of our players in the Proteas team and I can't wait to see what the girls can do.”

The Proteas netball team will be departing for England on Monday for their series of three Tests against the Roses.

The Proteas will look to put the lessons learnt in Australia into practice and despite losing that series 3-0, they are confident.

While the World Champions were dominant against South Africa down-under, there were quite a few positives they took from that recent tour.

A total of six Kovsies and Free State Crinums players make up the Proteas squad with the latest edition being Ané Retief.

The other Free State players in the Proteas squad are Lefébre Rademan, Khanyisa Chawane, Karla Pretorius, Refiloe Nketsa and Rolene Streutker.

The former Crinums captain, Rademan, told OFM Sport that it’s exciting to have such a big representation.

“We're are very excited for the upcoming tour of England and I think we are going to do well,” said Rademan.

“We are six Kovsies, or six Free State players in the team, and I think I must just give a big shout out to tannie Burta de Kock, who is our Crinums, Free State and Kovsies coach.

“I really think it is amazing to have six of our players in the Proteas team and I can't ways to see what the girls can do.”

The first Test between England and the Proteas will be played on 5 December in Manchester.
