The Proteas men's and women's hockey teams have both received tough draws for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The participating teams have been allocated to their respective Pools on the basis of the FIH World Rankings at 23:59 CET on 21 January 2024.

The women are in Pool B for the Olympics along with Australia, Argentina, Great Britain, Spain and the USA.

The men's team in turn have been drawn in Pool A, where they will measure themselves against the Netherlands, Germany, Britain, and France.

Both of the South African teams qualified for the Olympics by virtue of winning the Africa Cup of Nations in 2023.

While the fixtures are yet to be finalised, the Olympics will take place from 26 July to 11 August.
