It was a South African double in the men's and women's elite races which won by South Africans with Nicholas Quenet and Vicky van der Merwe claiming the honours.

Quenet won the men's races which consisted of a 750m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run in 57:55, while Luke Bate of Australia took the silver in 58:31 and Leon Pauger of Austria took the bronze in 59:07.

Van der Merwe won the women's race in 1:06.16 with fellow South African, Bridget Theunissen taking silver in 1:06.55.

Tanja Stroschneider of Austria rounded off the podium in 1:07:11 for the bronze.

The junior men's race was won by Nicholas Horne of South Africa in 1:04:23, while the Namibian, Nathan Chase, took the silver in 1:05:55, and Alessandro Fanicchi took the bronze in 1:07:04.

In the junior women's race it was a full podium for South Africa with Anika Visser winning in 1:10.13, Kadence Ribbink took the silver in 1:12.24 and Lomé Gouws claimed the bronze in 1:12:42.
