They were recently announced as finalists in the SA Radio Awards 2023 – in the Commercial Radio Content Producers Category. Makhalemele is the producer of The Joyride (Mondays to Fridays 15:00 to 18:00), and De Waal produces the Good Morning Breakfast (Mondays to Fridays 06:00 to 09:00). The winners will be announced at a gala dinner on 2 December 2023.

According to OFM Programme Manager Tim Thabethe, the nominations are a great recognition for the hard work OFM’s producers put into the two drive programmes. “The nods also showcase the effort that the Good Morning Breakfast and The Joyride put into entertaining audiences across the Free State, North West, Northern Cape, and Vaal.”

Twee van OFM se ‘towenaars’ wat agter die skerms werk – Motlatsi JayBee Makhalemele en Jaco de Waal – het erkenning gekry vir hul harde werk en toewyding. Hulle is onlangs aangekondig as finaliste in die SA Radio Awards 2023 – in die kategorie kommersiële radio-inhoudvervaardigers. Makhalemele is die vervaardiger van The Joyride (Maandae tot Vrydae, 15:00 tot 18:00), en De Waal vervaardig die Good Morning Breakfast (Maandae tot Vrydae, 06:00 tot 09:00). Die wenners sal tydens 'n galadinee op 2 Desember aangekondig word.
