Police probe shooting incident on Goosen farm─── 21:58 Wed, 25 Jan 2017
Aliwal North police are investigating a shooting incident on the farm of Springbok flyhalf, Johan Goosen.
Eastern Cape police said 24-year-old Armandt Stoman was shot in the ankle in the incident on Goosen’s farm, Lilly Flanders, on Tuesday.
“No foul play is suspected and the investigation is continuing,” said provincial police spokesperson, Brigadier Marinda Mills.
“Mr Goosen was very traumatised about the incident and could not yet explain what happened. The victim is in pain and a statement must still be obtained,” Mills said.
"The SAPS will open a case for further investigation as soon as all the facts are known," she said.
