“The European media has said that Ireland it the world's best team. They are, and they are playing amazing rugby at the moment. I think when they come to South Africa, we will have a good one on our hands.”

The Springboks view the upcoming Test series against Ireland as the biggest of the year and it has the makings of an epic.

On Saturday the Irish retained the Six Nations and they will be heading to South Africa with a lot of confidence and wanting to prove a point.

While the Springboks are the reigning World Champions, there are those who believe that the Irish are the actual best team in the world.

The Springboks first focus is on the Test against Wales at Twickenham in London, and while it is before the Irish series, it’s not view as a preparation match as two different squads will be used to the respective encounters.

The Springbok winger, Canan Moodie, who was last week named as the SA Rugby Young Player of the Year, told OFM Sport that the series against the Irish will be massive and they will be ready.

“Yes it's definitely going to be big,” said Moodie.

“We are going to do what we have to do, and we've spoken a little bit about it camp and I think we are ready for it.”

The Springboks will tackle Ireland at a sold-out Loftus Versfeld and Kingsmead on 6 and 13 July.
