The Blitzboks will face Australia in the cup quarter-finals of the Hong Kong Sevens after going through their pool games unbeaten at the iconic tournament.

On Saturday the Springbok Sevens team recorded their third victory with a convincing 26-7 win against Samoa.

Shilton van Wyk opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, while Quewin Nortjé dotted down some three minutes later.

Impi scored for South Africa in the 8th minute, while Uaina Tui Sione score Samoa on the board two minutes before full time.

Shaun Williams who was outstanding on day one got in on the action on the stroke of full time. Dewald Human managed to convert three of the Blitzboks four tries.

On Friday, South Africa beat Ireland 22-17 and Spain 24-10 for a near perfect start to their tournament as they seek to win the Hong Kong Sevens for a very first time.

Australia in turn hammered Canada 31-0 to finish second on Pool A. On Friday they beat Fiji 12-0, but lost 19-14 to France.

The Cup quarter-final between the Blitzboks and Australia will kick-off at 12:01 on Saturday afternoon.
