The captain George Whitehead as the loose-forward, Carl Els, and winger, Dylan Maart, each scored a hat-trick of tries as they put up the 'cricket score' against the visitors from East London.

In addition, Jac van der Walt scored a brace of tries for the Peacock Blues.

Niel Otto, Athenkosi Khetani, Bingo Ivanisevic, Connor Mahoney, Sean Swart and Sango Xamlashe each scored for the Griquas as well. Apart from his hat-trick of tries, Whitehead converted all 17 tries to take his tally up to 49-points for the match.

The Bulldogs only points for the match came via a Simthembile Ntleki try which wasn't converted.

It's the third time in three games that the Griquas have managed to score 50 or more points in the SA Cup following a 88-0 win against the Leopards in round one, and a 66-25 win against the Valke in Kempton Park during round two.

The Griquas next game will be on Saturday when they tackle the Griffons at home. This game at the Suzuki Stadium kicks off at 15:00.

Meanwhile, on Sunday at 15:00 the Griffons will face the Leopards in Welkom.
