The title holders, Manchester City, dropped points against Chelsea after playing to a 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on Saturday.

City were attempting to maintain their pressure on the English Premiership leaders, but the draw sees them dropping down to third.

The former Citizens striker, Raheem Sterling, opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 42nd minute, but Rodri managed to level matters 7 minutes before the end of regulation time.

The title contenders, Arsenal, moved back up to second with a 5-0 drubbing of Burnley at Turf moor with Bukayo Saka scoring a brace of goals for the Gunners, while Martin Ødegaard, Leandro Trossard and Kai Havertz all found the back of the net as well.

At Brentford Community Stadium, Liverpool, maintained their lead and are still in control to win the title, by thumping Brentford 4-1. Darwin Núñez, Alexis Mac Allister, Mo Salah, and Cody Gakpo all scored goals for the Reds, while Ivan Toney scored a late consolation goal for the Bees.

Liverpool holds a two point lead over Arsenal with 57 points, while they are now four clear of City who are on 53. City do have a game in hand on the Reds and Gunners. The match between Liverpool and City on 10 March at Anfield will most likely be the title decider.

Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Wanderers in turn beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 in London, while over at St James' Park, Newcastle played to a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth.

In Saturday's other two results - Nottingham Forest beat West Ham 2-0, while Aston Villa beat Fulham 2-1 in an away match at Craven Cottage.

On Sunday at 16:00, Sheffield United will welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Bramall Lane, while Luton Town will face Manchester United at Kenilworth Road.
