Buffelshoek - The badly decomposed body of a 70-year-old farmer was found about 40 metres outside his farm, Brakfontein near Buffelshoek in the North West yesterday Wednesday).

Police said in a statement that Walter Niedinder's half naked body was discovered by his neighbours last night.

It is alleged that Niedinder was with his friend, who was visiting for the weekend, when they had an argument.

According to police, the friend is still missing and his whereabouts are unknown.

Niedinder’s vehicle was stolen during the incident as well as a Plasma TV and DVD player.

At this stage the cause and exact date of death are unknown, due to the extent of decomposition.

Police are awaiting the forensic report which will determine the cause of death.

Cases of murder, motor vehicle theft and house robbery are being investigated.
