UCI disbands its independent 'doping' commission─── 13:22 Tue, 29 Jan 2013
Cycling's governing body has disbanded its independent commission to investigate its alleged involvement in the Lance Armstrong doping scandal.
The International Cycling Union has announced that it has disbanded the independent commission it has set up to investigate its alleged involvement in the Lance Armstrong doping scandal. The committee only met in public for the first time on Friday. The UCI says it is shutting down the commission because both the World Anti-Doping Agency and the United States Doping Agency have refused to co-operate with its investigations. It added that any report it produced would be dismissed "as not being complete or credible".
