British govt holds crisis meet after suspected terror attack

───   11:16 Thu, 23 May 2013

London - British Prime Minister David Cameron will chair an emergency response committee meeting today, after a suspected terror attach in London left one person dead. The committee will discuss possible additional security measures after a man said to be a British soldier was fatally stabbed in south-east London. Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder. In a video broadcast by ITV news, one of the suspects, with bloodied hands and carrying a large knife and cleaver, said: "We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you." The Muslim Council of Britain called the attack "a truly barbaric act that has no basis in Islam".
