Bloemfontein - The Proteas want to remain humble and take it one game at a time following their emphatic two-run win over the Black Caps of New Zealand yesterday in the ICC World Twenty20 in Chittagong.
The Kiwis won the toss and elected to field first, with South Africa posting 170 for 6 off their allotted 20 overs.
JP Duminy starred with the bat, scoring a magnificent 86 off 43 deliveries.
In reply New Zealand stayed within striking distance with Ross Taylor scoring 68 and Kane Williamson scoring his maiden T20 International 50, but couldn’t cross the final hurdle.
Dale Steyn was the pick of the Proteas bowlers with figures of 17/4.
Captain Faf du Plessis maintains it’s important for them to remain level-headed.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka bowled the Dutch out for 38 runs in the days second game to beat the European minnows by 9 wickets a mere 5 overs later.
