Bloemfontein - John Maduka, Bloemfontein Celtic team manager, said the team intends to go further in the Nedbank Cup this season and will make sure of that regardless of being drawn against the 2009/10 champions, Bidvest Wits, in the quarterfinals.
 
Celtic welcome the Clever Boys in Botshabelo on Sunday afternoon, and Maduka is upbeat about Siwelele’s chances at home.
 
“I am happy we are playing at home, because at home, we are dangerous,” Maduka told OFM Sport.
 
However, the former Siwelele midfielder and skipper highlighted that Wits are playing fantastic football, and it is no surprise they are amongst the top five teams on the log.
 
Hence, it will not be a walk-over.
 
“They are a quality side. We do watch them play; we know how they play, but in saying that, we need to be prepared."
 
“It is going to be a different game. Cup and leagues games are different as far as the approach is concerned, so it is going to be a tough match,” he added.
 
Siwelele crushed University of Stellenbosch 8-0 in the last 32 before beating Witbank Spurs 2-1 in the last 16 round to reach the Last 8 stages.
 
As for the Students, they first beat lower-division side, AmaBEE, 2-0, then crushed Amazulu 4-1 away from home in the next round, and will look to do the same against Celtic.
