Mahikeng - The ANC in North West has notified its councillors in the Ngaka Modiri Molema district municipality that they face expulsion from the party.
This after the councillors opposed the provincial government's decision to place the municipality under administration amid claims it is plagued by fraud and corruption. They also undertook to not work with the administrator that has since taken control of the municipality.
The board members have 48 hours to provide reasons why they should not be expelled.
Meanwhile ANC North West spokesperson Ishmael Mnisi says residents of Rustenburg and other towns governed by the municipality says the decision will not affect service delivery.
