Kyalami racetrack goes under the hammer─── 12:56 Wed, 23 Jul 2014
Johannesburg - One of South Africa's most iconic motoring racetracks goes under the hammer tomorrow and could be lost to motorsport forever.
Kyalami, outside Johannesburg, will be sold on auction with a minimum price of R200 million set for the property.
Auctioneer, Lance Chalwin-Mitton, says if a developer buys it, it will change the nature of Kyalami quite considerably as it will most likely not be used as a racetrack.

Eastern Cape motorsport legend, Terry Moss, says the Kyalami issue has been hanging around for some time and he wants to see finality to the process.
Kyalami hosted Grand Prix racing from 1965 to 1985.
