Flicky Gildenhuys is a family and relationship therapist and also the author of the book "Blending Families" - A practical guide to negotiating the challenges step-families face. Flicky has a degree in Psychology from the University of Cape Town and has a passion for families that spans three decades and has resulted in several innovative parenting programmes.
Having raised six children in a blended family, Flicky understands both the joy and turmoil that comes from having to deal with the past before one can build a foundation for the future. I spoke to her about her book and the blended family in South Africa. Here are some of the questions I asked:
