The sixth edition of the JoBerg2C mountain bike race gets underway tomorrow with 800 riders from across the world putting themselves to the test.
Over the next 9 days the riders will trek for 900kms on their bikes from just outside Johannesburg to Scottsburgh in KwaZulu-Natal on rural roads.
Of the 800 participants a 100 are international competitions representing 20 different countries.
Gawie Combrink and Johan Rabie are the favourites to win the race, however there are also numerous celebrities who will be competing for various charities.
Race organiser Craig Wapnick told OFM Sport that Sibusiso Vilani, who is the first black man to climb Mount Everest will be competing as well.
The first riders leave at 8am tomorrow morning and are expected to reach the Frankfort Sports Grounds at 12:30 in the afternoon.
