SAMA welcomes Basson's guilty verdict─── 12:02 Thu, 19 Dec 2013
Pretoria - The SA Medical Association (SAMA) has welcomed yesterday's guilty verdict against apartheid era weapons expert, Dr Wouter Basson.
Basson was found guilty of professional misconduct by the Health Professions Council of South Africa. The Council found him guilty on five charges and acquitted him on one.
SAMA President, Phophi Ramathuba says the verdict is a clear message to all practicing medical practitioners never to be used by any state to participate in their wars.
