Bloemfontein - The Mangaung treason trial was postponed on Thursday to next week Wednesday to determine a date for the cross examination of state witness “Mr B”.
Johan Prinsloo is accused of plotting to kill the ANC leadership during its elective conference in Manguang in 2012.
State Advocate Torie Pretorius concluded leading evidence in chief by “Mr B”, who told the court he had actually seen two large mortars and 10 smaller ones for sale in Reigerspark on 15 December 2012. He claims he spoke to both Prinsloo and Jaco Scherman about the mortar transaction several times that day.

“Mr B”, a police informant on gangs and the underworld, said when he heard about police at Prinsloo’s home on 16 December he broke contact with everyone involved.
The defence then requested that the case be adjourned to Wednesday to determine a suitable date to continue with cross examination.
Judge Mojalefa Rampai will be sitting at the Circuit Court but all parties agreed that the date could be handled by another judge and communicated to Rampai.
