Bloemfontein - Graduates in nature conservation in the Free State will undergo an internship programme in order to enhance their skills and knowledge. The provincial Department of Tourism and Economic Development says this will make the 22 graduates employable anywhere in the nature conservation field.
According to MEC Msebenzi Zwane, thanks to the internships the number of skilled young people in the conservation field will increase.
Zwane says the students started the 10-month course last year with theoretical training at the South African Wildlife College in Mpumalanga and completed the course with experiential training at the Golden Gate nature reserve outside QwaQwa, in the Eastern Free State.
