Vrede - A man was killed and a couple critically injured, when two cars collided on Sunday, near Vrede in the Free State, paramedics said.
It appears the deceased was travelling alone in a car, when it collided with a car carrying the man and woman, on Warden Villiers Road 10km from the Vrede turnoff, ER24 said.
The couple was stabilised and taken to a nearby hospital for further medical attention.
The cause of the accident was a matter of a police investigation.
