Dihlabeng to pay Eskom R12 million per month─── REFILWE GAESWE 16:09 Mon, 01 Sep 2014
Fouriesburg - Dihlabeng Municipality, comprising Clarens, Fouriesburg and Paul Roux, will be paying Eskom R12 million per month towards their arrears.
This after the municipal council finalized their payment plan last week.
Dihlabeng’s spokesperson Tsheliso Maitse says the municipality’s debt is approximately R54 million, excluding last month. He says their payment plan will stretch till November 2015.
Eskom earlier warned that they would terminate electricity to Dihlabeng as well as two other Eastern Free State municipalities on August 8.

They however gave Dihlabeng, Ngwathe and Maluti-a-Phofung till the end of August to submit their payment plans.
Ngwathe comprises Parys, Koppies and Heilbron. Maluti-a-Phofung consists of Qwa-Qwa, Harrismith, and Kestel.
