Bethlehem - More than a million people will be affected when Eskom cut power supply tomorrow.
Three Free State municipalities defaulted or short-paid on their current account for a prolonged period and have substantial arrear debt.
Eskom's Adri Strydom says over the last two months this has escalated from R550 million to R736.
Bulk electricity supply at Maluti-a-Phofung, including Harrismith and QwaQwa, Dihlabeng including Bethlehem and Ngwathe, including Parys will be disconnected at noon tomorrow.
Maluti-a-Phofung owes R418.6 million, Ngwathe R257.9 million and Dihlabeng R59.1 million.
