Police search for suspects after teenage murder─── 16:06 Thu, 02 Oct 2014
Assen - North West police in this area near Brits are investigating a case of murder after the grisly discovery of an unknown naked girl’s body floating in the Kgetleng river.
The girl is believed to be between 11 and 13 years old.
Police were alerted to the discovery made on Sunday by herdboys who saw human remains floating in the river.
Spokesperson, Sabata Mokgwabone, says the victim was found to be missing body parts. He adds that while this could suggest a muti-killing, it cannot be confirmed until arrests have been made or further corroborative evidence comes to light.
He also called upon community members who could possibly help identify the body to come forward.
